Kentucky GROW began in 2001 when the Human Development Institute at the University of Kentucky got a grant to promote Gardening for Recreation Or Work for people with disabilities. Although the grant ended, the great partnerships that were developed still continue. This website is dedicated to the continued efforts to help anyone with an interest in gardening in being able to do so. We caught on to the great idea of some local gardening enthusiasts and Latitude in spreading the great power of the tomato. In the summer of 2010, we will be working with Central Kentucky providers of supports for adults with developmental disabilities to get tomato plants to those who want to exercise their green thumbs, carrying on the efforts of The Tomato Project!
